AITAH.app Ethics Policy

At AITAH.app, honesty, respect, and transparency aren’t just nice-to-haves, they’re the foundation of how we work.

We don’t do takedowns for clicks. You won’t find personal attacks on individuals, companies, or competitors here. Even when the stories get intense, we stay focused on objectivity, context, and fairness.

We take our role in shaping public conversation seriously, and that means handling sensitive topics with care and responsibility.

Transparency in Reviews and Content

Whenever we feature content involving products, platforms, or experiences, especially in entertainment-related areas, we always disclose important context. For example:

  • If we receive early access or review copies, we’ll let you know.
  • We clearly state the platform or version we used.
  • If a game, film, or experience is regional or platform-specific, that’s noted too.

We follow Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines for all reviews and sponsored content. Disclaimers are clear and visible, no hidden fine print.

Editorial Integrity Comes First

We separate editorial content from PR access and monetization. What does that mean in practice?

  • Writers who attend events, press junkets, or exclusive previews won’t review that same title.
  • Our editorial team works independently from our partnerships or monetization teams.
  • Our opinions can’t be bought, shaped, or softened, even when we work closely with creators or studios.

We know trust is earned, and we do everything we can to keep it.

Crediting Original Sources (It’s Just Good Practice)

We credit our sources, period.

When using stories, quotes, or media from other publications, we always link back to the original and give proper attribution. If it’s not an official asset (like a press release or media kit), we’ll credit the creator and try to get permission when possible.

That includes:

  • Independent artists
  • Fan art creators
  • Behind-the-scenes content

We believe the internet works better when we respect each other’s work.

Spoilers, Handled With Respect

We get it: not everyone wants to know what happens before they watch or play.

Here’s how we handle spoilers on AITAH.app:

  • We always follow embargoes.
  • Major spoilers are never used in headlines or thumbnail images.
  • If we publish during a release window, you’ll get a clear spoiler warning at the top of the page.
  • We only post sensitive info after enough time has passed, or when people are actively searching for that kind of detail.

We serve the curious, not the unsuspecting. Our goal is to enhance your experience, not ruin it.
